Select Chorus Rocks Disney

Burncoat High School’s Select Chorus took the stage at the Downtown Disney stage where they entertained guests and a judge. Talents of all kinds from all over the country apply to perform each year as part of the Disney Performing Arts Program. After being chosen, the members of the select chorus traveled over 1,000 miles from Worcester, Massachusetts to the Walt Disney world Resort in Orlando, Florida to take part in the Disney Performing Arts program.

The Quadrivium have been practicing since August of 2014. 32 students from the entire chorus, under the direction and accompaniment of Mr. Dave Twiss, entertained approximately 150 quests and one judge singing songs from popular musicals like Rent, and the Lion King. Prior to starting their performance, the members of the Quadrivium was very nervous, but that quickly changed as they began to sing.

This was the groups 8th competition and 4th trip to Disney. In past years, the Quadrivium received Gold and Silver ranking. This year, they received the Platinum ranking, the highest rating, getting a score of a 57 out of a possible 60 points.
